Temp Chef

Hello and welcome to this week’s blog! Last week’s post was quite late so I don’t have an awful lot to discuss this week unfortunately, but I shall update you all nonetheless.

We have had a friend staying with us this week which has made the flat feel like a bit of a social hub - it’s nice having people staying, even just when doing mundane things like watching TV. We do a games night every Sunday that we’ve dubbed ‘Sunday Funday’, this time with the addition of the childhood favourite ‘Operation’ which our friend brought with him. Did you know Operation now has MONEY CARDS and doesn’t make a beepy noise??? Things have changed since I was a kid, but the one thing that hasn’t changed is the sheer frustration while playing the game. On top of this, he happens to be an excellent cook and has fed us some delicious food while he’s stayed which is also a bonus. I don’t think I can go back to cooking my own meals now.

I had to skip the Barras market las weekend as I was not able to get the time off work, however I will be there this Saturday! I was hoping to get a new sticker pack sorted to sell but this may have to wait til next week. I was also able to purchase a new-old sewing machine (new to me, but it’s either a 60s or 70s piece) for a bargain and I’m planning on making some more fabric-based accessories like patches, maybe even some shoe clips/pendants or ties. I have ideas and I need to make them happen!

A very short blog for this week. Tune in next time!
